A Security Token is a small,
connectionless device that generates a One Time Password to use each time you
log in to Cash Management Online Banking or Business Bill Pay Online Banking.
Why do I need a Security Token?
A Security Token adds an additional
layer of security to your information. We are committed to using advanced
technology to ensure that your identity and account information remains safe,
secure and private.
How does the Security Token work?
Each time you log in to your
Cash Management/Business Bill Pay Online Banking, you will enter your Access ID
and then in the Password field you will enter a One Time Password, generated by
pressing the gray button on your Security Token, along with the 4-digit PIN
which you selected during your initial activation process. The One Time
Password generated by your token will be different every time you log in.
When do I activate my Security Token?
After receiving your
temporary password from Venture Bank, you will have 30 days to activate your
Security Token; after that you will be prompted to activate your token the next
time you log in. If you have difficulty activating your token, please call an
Account Executive.
How do I activate my Security Token?
Log in to your Cash
Management/Business Bill Pay Online Banking using your Access ID and current
Password. From the menu, select OPTIONS, then ENABLEMENT. Follow the instructions
provided on the ENABLEMENT screen.
Once I have activated my Security Token, will I
need to remember my temporary Password?
No. Once you have activated your
Security Token, you will no longer need your temporary Password. The One Time
Password, obtained by pressing the gray button on your Security Token, plus the
4-digit PIN you selected at the time of your Token Activation, takes the place
of your temporary Password.
How does my Security Token verify
that I’m at the valid Venture Bank Online Banking site?
After you have entered your
One Time Password and 4-digit PIN, a Site Authentication screen appears and
displays a Site Authentication Value. By pressing the Security Token a second
time, a Site Authentication Value will appear. This value must match the value
displayed on the screen. If they match, then you will know you are at Venture
Bank’s Online Banking. If they do not match, please try again or contact your
Account Executive.
What happens if I lose or damage my
Security Token?
In the event that your token
becomes lost or damaged, replacement tokens can be ordered from the Log In
page. To request a new token, select the LOST/DAMAGED TOKEN link or call the
Bank. Once a new token is requested, the previous token will automatically be
deactivated. Fees will apply.
Yes. You can use the same
Security Token to access multiple entities; however you must activate your
Security Token under each entity.
